La Otra Casa is a very useful little Café bar to know about, for those shopping or sightseeing in Cartagena.
It´s centrally located on the edge of Plaza Real, but slightly off the main tourist drags, so caters mainly for the local trade.
It´s a trendy, welcoming and comfortable Café Bar, with a modern and clean décor, and during the hot summers is an air conditioned haven in the back streets of the City, just behind the main shopping streets.
During the evenings, and once the searing heat of August is out of the way, the glass side windows open out into the street, so the Café becomes a popular bar used by locals and those enjoying an evening drink in a street Café atmosphere.
The Café also has live bands from time to time on Wednesdays.
A full range of drinks and beverages are served, with cocktails a speciality during the evening.
However, La Otra Casa is best known for its´tostas, a nice filler snack for those who want something to eat, but not too much.
