One of Mazarrons best kept secrets is the little Bar and Restaurant El Meson, which is tucked away from general view on the Las Torres Camping Park.
The camping park is on the outskirts of the Puerto de Mazarron, just a short drive from the sea and has an active community of full-time residents, as well as a regular flow of visitors throughout the year.
The Meson is an English run family restaurant which offers a good selection of bar snacks, standard meals and tapas throughout the year, at extremely realistic prices.
They do a top notch breakfast with 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 toast, beans or tomatoes, tea or coffee for just 3.50, right up until 2pm.
During opening hours they offer a good range of standard dishes from 4.50-6 euros and on a Sunday do a good value Sunday Roast for 7 euros, with dessert only 1.50 euros extra.
The bar is a popular stop-off point for walkers who have been exploring the area behind and around the camp site, and attracts a regular clientèle from around the area.
The Meson also hosts regular events and entertainment, details of which are posted in the What’s on section of the site.
