Vuelta Ciclista a Espana, murcian stages.

Cycling fans might like to book the dates for the Vuelta ciclista a Espana in their diaries as we approach the beginning of this epic race in August.

The race will be passing through the Region of Murcia on the 1^st September, entering from Granada towards Lorca, via Puerto Lumbreras, with Lorca as the final destination for stage 5.

 

On September 2^nd it takes in a 148.6 leg from Caravaca de la Cruz- Murcia, departing from Caravaca at 1.55pm.

 

On September 3^rd, it travels in a 186km stage from Murcia capital to Orihuela, and off out of the region of Murcia.

 

Around 2000 people travel with the event in the form of support teams, medical personnel etc, as well as the cyclists themselves, so the region is hoping to generate some good revenue as it passes through, so be warned if you're looking to book hotels anywhere near those dates as occupancy might be difficult.

Once we get a bit nearer the actual event, we'll post all the stage directions and timings so you can watch it go past.
