Murcia half Marathon, 14th March, participants invited

2000 runners are expected to take part in the Murcia half marathon on Sunday 14th March which runs through the centre of the city following a totally urban route.
Runners have the option of also running a "quarter marathon" and completing just one lap of the course.
The race starts at 10am in Avenida Pio Baroja and it is estimated most of the centre of the city will be closed off for two and a half hours.
The full route covers the following, just in case you'd planned a morning sightseeing:

There are 10 mens, and 7 womens' categories with trophies and other prizes on offer including a television, Wii console, hotel weekends away etc.As usual there are goodie bags and refreshments on offer for participants.
