04 / 03 / 2010
There are many fantastic walking areas throughout Murcia, each with its own unique identity and places to visit. Throughout the year walks are held in different municipalities and this week we have one being run by Calasparra council.
The walk is called , "Subida a la Piedra, "Ejaja" which is a walk up to the stone of Ejaja.
It leaves the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am and is described as being of medium difficulty, although this still involves a reasonable level of fitness as the walk is around 14km.
The walk is lead by an experienced guide who is extremely knowledgable about the area and flora and fauna.
Participants are all asked to pre-register with the tourist office on 968 74 53 25 and also requested to wear sensible, strong footwear and appropriate clothing and carry water, food and sun protection glasses and suncream.
