What to do in Totana, Senderismo walk, in the Cieza area
Senderismo is basically walking, but sometimes involves a bit more physical effort and can involve a spot of scrambling over rocks, and in the more dedicated clubs the routes involve climbing, abseiling etc, but most of the routes run by the council are low-medium difficulty.
They would suit dedicated walkers with a good degree of physical fitness.
To take part in these routes it is necessary to inscribe at the sports pavilion in Totana, the Pabellon de Deportes, Manolo Ibanez by the Friday preceding the trips.
Most of the routes involve an 8am departure by minibus and all are accompanied by an experienced guide who will not only lead the walk, but also talk about flora and fauna and the local area. Most of the routes are half day routes and you will be back in Totana for lunchtime.
It is advised to wear appropriate footwear, carry water and breakfast and a coat of some sort.
The trips cost 6.26 each of you have a DEA card, or 8.34 if you don't .
The photos show the last trip which was to the Fuente Caputa in Mula, which took place in January.
